Change monitoring and personalised alerts

Delivering meaningful exceptions to the people able to act on them.

Expert contributor

Context and challenge

With many commercial combinations to review, employees needed help identifying meaningful changes in activity.

My contribution

I contributed to the project as an expert. The team’s solution detected meaningful changes and sent employees personalised alerts within their areas of responsibility.

Approach and solution

Detecting changes in commercial activity

  • The system tracked significant changes at the level of commercial relationships. This granularity helped identify local growth or decline that could remain hidden in an aggregate measure.
  • According to the team, monitoring covered more than 50,000 commercial relationships. Automated change detection identified situations for review within a large volume of observations.

Personalised notifications to responsible staff

  • Employees received notifications relevant to their responsibilities. Each alert provided the event and context needed to investigate the change and act on the situation.

Outcome

The team estimates that monitoring covered more than 50,000 commercial combinations. Employees received alerts about situations requiring attention.

This was a team project. Figures are based on the project team’s materials, with my role identified separately.
